Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how DailyTails (the “App”, “we”, “us”), operated by DailyTails Inc., handles information when you use the App. By using the App you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Pet and app data you create (stored on your device). Pet profiles (name, breed, birthday, weight), mood logs, reminders, and similar entries are stored locally on your device. We do not transmit this data to our servers.

Usage and diagnostics (analytics). We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the App is used. This collects product-interaction events (for example, which screens are viewed and which buttons are tapped) and information your device provides automatically, such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, a coarse region, and an app-instance identifier. We do not collect your name, email, or other contact details, and we do not use this to track you across other apps or websites (no advertising identifier / IDFA).

Notifications. If you enable reminders, the App schedules local notifications on your device. These are not sent through our servers.

Purchases. If the App offers paid subscriptions, payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

2. How we use information

To provide and operate the App’s features.
To understand usage, measure engagement, and improve the App.
To diagnose problems and maintain reliability.

3. How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. Analytics data is processed by Google as our service provider; see Google’s Privacy Policy and Firebase privacy information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

4. Data retention

Data you create in the App remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings and Google’s retention policies.

5. Your choices and rights

You can delete the pet and app data you created within the App, or remove all of it by uninstalling the App. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information; contact us using the details below to make a request.

6. International transfers

Analytics data may be processed by Google in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, appropriate safeguards apply to such transfers.

7. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above when we do.
